I do think knowing exactly where you are going to pick up time throughout the course and where you are going to hold back is the key to lowering the time. Ha...Loved your report and sincerely happy for you! Having just done this NOBO as well, and taking 8 hours to get from Pollywog to Abol, I am extremely impressed with your effort! I certainly agree that experience on this route goes a long way and I like your list. I actually think SOBO is the way for me.
